Body Products

About:
I am adding this section for those that choose to use all gluten free products topically as well. I personally try to use mostly gluten free products by choice, but I don't think it is always necessary for Celiacs to do. I like to focus on the basics: any lip products that I might ingest a small amount of should be gluten free. I also prefer gluten free hand creams for the same reason.

I definitely always use gluten free lip balm and now that I have a son with nut allergies, I always use lip balm that does not contain any peanuts or tree nuts and is not processed with them either.
Even my body and hand soap is gluten free. I use peppermint lip balm and Handmade soap both from SeraCraft that can be found here.

Toothpaste is a big issue and I choose Trader Joe's, The Honest Company, or Tom's of Maine. The Honest Company is my favorite. Here is my link to them.

I've used Shampoo and conditioner from The Gluten Free Savonnerie with great results, although it's been awhile since I ordered from them. I usually see what is gluten free and on sale at the health food store.

Baby wash/shampoo and body lotion that I use for my son is also gluten and nut free and that is by Little Twig. Most, but not all of their products are gluten and nut free. The company is very helpful and their website is easy to navigate to find out it their products meet your needs.

I will add products here as I come up with more, but in general, I think anything that goes on or around you mouth and hands, should be gluten free to avoid any cross contamination. Often, I write to companies and ask what products are safe so that I can be sure that everything I am using is ok. Most companies are very happy to help. If they give you a hard time or don't answer right away, try something else.
